On the same day that I read Amanda Gorman's words on Twitter, I ran across this poem that someone posted on Facebook. Unfortunately, the author of the poem was not cited. Self-love and self-compassion can be difficult. It is easy for your inner voice to follow the words as you read forward through the poem. It is only when you embrace the love for yourself that you can silence the inner voice of self-doubt and replace it with the words that you find when reading the poem from the bottom up.
I decided to take a few selfies and share them in recognition that self-love is important. "Beauty does exist within me."
